Miconvey Endoscopic GIA Linear Cutting Stapler
QELCXX
When deployed the Miconvey endoscopic GIA linear cutting stapler deploys 6 rows of staples and then cuts between them. This makes it ideal when performing a side to side gastrointestinal anastomosis following resection, however it can also be used in other scenarios such as partial gastric resection, liver lobectomy and lung lobectomy depending on the height of the staples in your chosen staple cartridge.
Some of the main published benefits of using a stapler compared to performing a hand-sewn anastomosis are:1. A significant reduction in the risk of dehiscence in cases with pre-operative septic peritonitis, such as a ruptured small intestinal obstruction. 2. Dramatically reduced surgical time, with stapled anastomosis being reported to be 10 times faster compared to hand sewn in dogs. This is especially important in cases with a high ASA grade or those experiencing anaesthetic complications. 3. Resolution of intestinal lumen disparity such as when performing a jejuno-colic anastomosis.
The endoscopic stapler is designed for use during laparoscopic or thoracoscopic surgery, however it can be used during open procedures. The additional features of articulating jaws and 360 degree rotation make it especially easy to maneuver into hard to reach places.
The staplers are extremely user friendly, but if you have any questions please reach out to our technical staff for answers.
Staple size guide:Small intestine - 3.5mm (Blue)
Stomach or thicker tissues - 4.8mm (Green)
The cartridges are single use and must be replaced following deployment. The stapler is able to be sterilized and re-used.
