The deepening of the trochlear groove is often an important part of addressing medial patellar luxation. This kit can be used for both wedge and block recession sulcoplasty. Block (or rectangular) recession sulcoplasty is somewhat more difficult to perform but may provide superior results. The inclusion of a 2mm osteotome facilitates surgery in even very small patients. Note that in animals with medial patellar luxation, tibial tuberosity transposition is frequently also indicated.
